New SAT: Should I drive to Detroit?

I'm a Canadian, (and a junior) and I'm planning to take the new SAT. I'm worried that I might not be able to do extremely well the first time I take the SAT, and I want to give myself time in case I need to retake it. Since the New SAT is offered in March (but only in the USA), should I drive down across the border (2 hr drive approx.) and take it in march? That way, i would have many chances to retake it (may and june). I know i def. wont be able to take the SAT I again in October or November, b/c I'll be take the subject tests. Am I even allowed to take it in the states, even though I'm canadian?
What do you guys think I should do?
Thanks!

Call the CB on Monday and ask if you can take it on US soil.

just make sure you don't take the test the same day you're coming over. You don't want to get up any earlier than you have to for this! I would recommend trying to get CB to accomodate test-taking in Canada.

I live in Vancouver and probably will drive over to Bellingham or Seattle in Washington for the March test....

Although it is only a 1.5 hour drive to Bellingham, I'm planning on doing the day before in case there are long lineups at the border

Hong Couver is t3h pwn.

Yeah, good luck. I am pretty sure they would.
