New SAT

Anyone know how UT will factor the new SAT into its Academic Index? The new SAT (starting this month) is reverting back to a 1600-point scale and just two sections: math & verbal.

No and I doubt we’ll know anytime soon. The way we have access to it now is because of lawsuits and audits that probably won’t happen again.

In the case of the business formula, it seems like they were counting CR and W at half the weight anyway:

-2.668 + (SAT M * .002) + (SAT W * .001) + (HSR * .032) + (SAT CR * .001)

So I assume they’ll just weight the two new sections equally.

Thanks @gettingschooled, that seems like a reasonable guess.

Just take old SAT scores on the 2400 scale and multiply by 2/3 to get the new SAT score equivalent on the 1600 scale.
