New SAT

So I am taking the new SAT in June (I’m a junior). I was wondering how Bama is gonna consider the New SAT and if they will even take it for scholarships. I know most people don’t know much about the new SAT since it’s the first year but thought it was worth a shot asking. Thanks.

I called the fin. aid office yesterday about whether the requirements for the Presidential scholarship would change to reflect the new SAT and I was told that there are administrators meeting to discuss this. If there is a change in the requirements, they should be announced my mid July.

Update: per http://scholarships.ua.edu/types/out-of-state.html they will be using the SAT conversion chart for admission and scholarship, and per that chart, you’d need a 1450 on the new SAT to equal the 1400 (old SAT) score for the Presidential. Good luck!!
