New school in junior year!

I'm excited for the new environment and all, but it's going to be a ***** transferring credits.

Also, I found out that the new school has at least 3 mandatory courses, and on top of that I have marching band (I LOVE BAND). I was planning to take 3 to 5 AP's next year (junior year), and it seems impossible now, esp. because it's going to be a block schedule.

I'm planning on sitting down with my new counselor and the band director to perhaps take the mandatory courses in the summer and have a zero period, etc., esp. because if I don't take "the most challenging course," my GPA will be automatically dropped because I'm not categorized as "advanced."

Any advice?

at most schools counselors cannot really change that much, if you really want something you need to talk to the vice principal who is in charge of scheduling classes.

I’ll be moving in the late summer… do you think it’s still worth a shot?

Also, can colleges tell if you took summer classes instead of regular classes? What other options do I have besides summer classes?

Anyone been in a similar situation? :(
