New SENIORS, how many rounds of SAT 1's have you taken?

.....and are you planning to take them again this fall?

I have taken 2 rounds so far and plan I to take 1 or 2 more, depending on the scores I get on my SAT IIs.

Shadow-- what's your thinking on making # of retests contingent upon how you do w/ SAT 2's?

2...........

If I do poorly on my SAT IIs, I will have to retake them. Because there are a finite number of test dates available before applications are due, I would have to skip one of my planned SAT I retakes if I needed to retake any of my SAT IIs.

I've taken one round (may) and i'm retaking in november. :)

2 rounds and i am done

I took it once and I'm done.

three rounds for SAT one (2 for old one for new) Done
well one round for each SAT2 although some of the dates are separate.

My son took them in November 2004, December 2004 & the new SAT in 3/05 & he's done. He took SAT IIs & will take one more SAT II in Math II in October. He also took the ACT in February (I think) & will not retake that either. He's done well on all the tests but was disapointed that he scored lower than expected on the essay because he wrote concisely. Did not get perfect scores, but all scores were 700 or higher & ACT was 34 & one verbal 800.
HImom

took once in June (2070) taking it again in Oct sigh

Twice...old one (1420), new one (2070)...but then I gave myself a choice - either give it one more try, or take the ACT.

The ACT is 45 minutes shorter than the new SAT.

The decision was made very quickly. September 24th, and then I am DONE with standardized testing...crap...except for 4 AP exams in May ::sigh::

Twice - 2130, 2300.

I'm done with the SAT-I. Still need to take the IIs though.

twice - round one: 2190, round two: 2220,

Best combined: 2280

Once for the old version : 1540 (with a 750 writing SAT II)
Once for the new version : 2200

I'm done only because the 1540 is good enough (obviously not spectacular, but it meets the general expectation) for HSMC etc. and the 2200 is good enough for BU, NYU and even UMich, which only accept the new one. With the exception of UChicago, I'm pretty much set for test scores, even though I know I could have done a lot better. I'm just so freakin' tired of taking standardized tests!

1 taken in may
another to be taken in nov

Got a 2190 shudder the first time, but I'm still never taking that b*tch again...

^ Is that low or high?

Twice.

:)

I've taken the SAT 1 twice, and I'll take it one more time in October, mostly because I know I can improve my math a reasonable amount, and perhaps my CR a little bit, as well.

low.......
