<p>Is it important that we attend the new student convocation and week of welcome events? </p>
<p>I know that the planned events aren't mandatory, but will the convocation be?</p>
<p>I don’t remember hearing anything important during Convocation last year. All I remember was:</p>
<ol>
<li>Everyone swamped the free t-shirt tent.</li>
<li>It was bloody hot.</li>
<li>Chancellor Yang spoke about. . .well, I forgot .__.</li>
<li>Did I mention it was bloody steamy?</li>
<li>Not enough seats, so me and bunch of my FSSP buddies sat on grass. </li>
<li>I wondered if the next three convocations would be as hot as my first one. </li>

<p>Can you get the shirt without sitting through the entire thing? :3</p>
<p>Yes. I have 3 class T-shirts so far and I’m getting my 4th class T-shirt this year. I might take a 5th year and if I do, I will get a 5th class T-shirt too.</p>
