Did anyone receive this yet? I know they say we should have it by the 15th but it's getting kinda close.

I was about to ask the same thing. We haven’t receive anything (orientation guide, family guide, book).

@2018dad Do you also live on the west coast? I’m thinking maybe it just didn’t get out here yet.

I received mine this past Saturday, but I also live about an hour away from campus. Should arrive soon.

Yes, we are from SoCal.

I received mine a few days ago, but I live in Ithaca.

Didn’t receive it in Nevada yet.

I received mine last week and I live on Long Island (approx 5 hrs from Ithaca).

It says online if you don’t receive your packet by July 15 to contact them at cu_orientation@cornell.edu

An upperclassman on the fb page said that it should arrive between last week and next week but right now all we have is the online version of the orientation guide to tide us over lol.

Just received mine on the West Coast today.

My daughter received hers few days ago as well.

Did anybody receive their Family Handbook and Family Orientation Schedule?

@2018Dad – I didn’t know we were supposed to receive a family orientation guide!

I just looked through the student orientation guide on-line and searched out the relevant parent activities. It appears that we are free to leave after lunch Saturday, and probably won’t have the opportunity to see our son again after that.

I recall reading somewhere that there are family activities hosted Saturday afternoon, but I don’t know that we will need to attend any of these. Each college has its own specific events scheduled so I just went to my son’s school’s section in the back of the guide.

According to the site below, Cornell will mail us hard copies:
http://newstudents.cornell.edu/first-year/communications.html

I have the pdf copy of both so I’ll just print them if we don’t receive the booklets

We are also leaving Saturday afternoon. We’ll attend the University convocation in the morning then the CAS Dean’s convocation in the afternoon and the CAS Parent’s Briefing.

My son received the hard copy of his orientation guide and the book a week or so ago.

Thanks for the link to the family guide. I will have to take a look at that.

I got mine two days ago, on the 13th and it said “priority two-day shipping”, so I’m thinking they just sent some out late.
And on the website, I believe they said they’ll mail the orientation guide out by the end of June, so if it turns out like how they mailed the book, we’ll get it a few days before the end of July.
