Hello, so today I decided to register for one of the New Student Orientation sessions, and when I went to do so, I found out that there were no more sessions available. Does anyone know what to do? Because I need to take the writing requirement or I can’t take English classes the first year.
I would call the school, and in specific the New Student Orientation line. I called a couple of days ago because I needed to switch my sessions and they were able to do that. The lady I talked to had available dates in July and September for me to switch into so I’m sure if you call they can help you as well.
Here’s the website with the number:

Agree, just call. In the past they’ve added additional sessions. Or they might just have you join the International sessions towards the end.
Another vote to call them. I’m finding that UCLA’s website is not that great at making sure students are really informed of all their options and everything they have to do. Case in point: buried in the details on the new student orientation page is the news that you need to upload your photo by June 30 in order to get a BruinCard by orientation, which you will need to have once you’re there. Oops! I’ll be calling them on Monday to find out if it’s still possible to upload a photo or whether my daughter is going to have to spend part of orientation standing in line to get her photo taken.
