I'm an int'l student coming from China, and I'd like to sign up for the last orientation date (Aug. 25-27) since I could just directly fly over and not return to China. However an issue is that during orientation you have to sign up for your classes and stuff. Due to the large student body size at UCLA, if I go to a later session, will all the classes be too filled up for me to enroll? As in, is signing up for/enrolling in classes first come first serve, or what? How do they guarantee that people can get the classes they want, no matter when they sign up?

How exactly are you gonna just fly and stay from China? - it’s like another 4 weeks till school actually starts.

you can still sign up for classes even if youre not physically present on the campus.

Yeah, I can’t even make orientation because I’m international and won’t have a visa yet, so I guess I’ll just attend the international orientation and register from home.

Can you elaborate on the int’l orientation plz?

It’s closer to the start of the quarter but doesn’t include registering for classes.
