Shaking my headâŠ
hi there; question for people with 2+ cats. Do your cats sleep together? hang together? follow each other around?
See my avatar. Thess two almost always hang out together. The tortie also bunched up with the white cat. And when it gets colder, all three of them pile up together.
My two are sisters and they do sleep and hang out together sometimes, but they also like their space and occasionally fight. Our black and white cat will mother the black cat and sometimes the black cat doesnât like it.
My two are sisters. They have knockdown drag out fights with much hissing and spitting and chase each other around the house. Next time you look they are curled up together asleep. One will drag a string and the other will chase it.
These are the first cats Iâve had who interact with each other.
We have a family affair - mom, son, and daughter. The sibs do hang out together and sometimes nap together, and all three like being in the same general area, but mom usually maintains some distance. Although during thunderstorms everybody makes a beeline for the apparently safe space under my bed.
Have any of you seen Taylor Swiftâs new music video titled âMeâ? Something there for cat lovers.
My two are littermates. As kittens, they were inseparable. The female would groom the male and they slept all intertwined. As they grew up, they changed. These days, they are generally together but there are clear territory lines. They will be sitting or lying contentedly, right next to each other, and then I guess someone breaks the Cat Code and one will hiss or bop the other. Very occasionally one will chase the other. They also have their own favorite places to hide away and sleep during the day. (You had better be careful reaching into the boxes in the dark recesses of a certain closet or youâre going to touch something that feels weirdly warm and furry. ) But yes, they usually follow each other around and if one ambles into a room you can be pretty sure the other one is going to be along in the next few seconds.
We recently had a feral cat show up at our back screen door. My two instantly became a team to let him know that this was their house and he was not welcome.
I have three cats, currently sleeping on my bed. Toby was five years old when we adopted two female kittens - not litter mates. We picked our little orange tabby first and then the SPCA volunteer let us bring kittens - one at a time - into the adoption room to see if any clicked. One did and theyâve been besties from the beginning. They do groom each other and nap together and play together - not all the time, but not infrequently either. Our older male cat adjusted well to the little ones. He sleeps on the bed with them and Iâve noted a few tentative licks. He does play with them almost every day - chasing or being chased. Itâs been good for him.
RIP, Grumpy Cat. ?
Oh no! Wow, she was only 7 years old!
I know! Urinary tract infection says Mr.
D2âs baby (almost 3 years old) had a bad UTI recently. Iâm so glad she was treated successfully. It didnât occur to me that it could be fatal.
Iâm so sorry.
Now Iâm seeing Grumpy Cat memes all over facebook. I feel badly for the family but I hope itâs comforting that so many people expressed condolences and that so many people loved watching that cat.
And here are some happy cat news!
Hi cat folks I need some help! One of my cats wonât stop peeing at the bottom of our stairs. What makes it hard to solve is that this is a hardwood floor landing, with a small hole in itâŠso we HAVE to have a rug there, so people donât catch their toe or their sock in the hole, and, of course, some urine has probably run into the hole and gone down below several times. For a while, one of those gel foam kitchen mats kept her from peeing there, but eventually she decided she just didnât care that it wasnât absorbent, and sheâll pee on that too. Any ideas? Are we just doomed? Obviously, being on a stair landing, we canât block this area off from her either. Iâve tried foil and repellent, the repellent doesnât stop her,and we just canât have foil covering our landing 24/7 (itâs visible right from the front door and in the living room). Thanks!
