Since there have been no new posts in a while, I'll start it up again.

To all you who go to Rose-Hulman, or are going to be in the fall, what do you like best about it? Least? I know its a good school, but I'd like to get to know what its like over there.

I like that they focus on undergraduate education.

At almost any other big tech school(GA Tech, MIT, Berkley, Caltech, really any Uni that offers Doctorates) you're going to get a lot of professors hired for their research abilities. That often means they couldn't care less about teaching. That's bad for a lot of people. I have a lot of friends who go to Georgia Tech and that's pretty much universal there, that you get a lot of professors who aren't focused and dedicated to their students. Which is fine, I mean, that's how they make money, that's capitalism for you.

Whereas at Rose-Hulman all the professors are hired because they're good teachers. I also like the small school feel. I did Operation Catapult, and compared to other, bigger schools, it just felt so much better for me.

Besides that, it's a top-notch school anyways.
