New to CC, in need of 2 or 3 school suggestions!

Hey guys! New to the forum but loving it already.

-I have a good gpa (96.67 or essentially a 4.0)
-Decent SAT's (1250)
-All around good kid, in my unbiased opinion haha
-Really interested in political science/government

Being in VA I only have one out of state,
-UVA and WM are reaches but I'm still going to apply.
-VT and WF and kinda up there
-JMU and GMU I feel like I have a good shot to get in.

2 Questions:
-What other schools do you think I should apply to for a "safety"?

How good do you think my chances for UVA and WM are? No one's being clear, but the more I read, the more worried I get haha.

Matt in VA

Is your 1250 SAT out of 1600?

How much will your parents pay each year?

A safety school is a school that you know that you can afford and will get accepted. Do you know if you have the funding for GMU and JMU? If not, then those aren’t your safeties.

Yes 1250 out of 1600 (cr and math)

My parents told me upfront they would try to make anything work but WF is a little much. My dad about fainted when I said University of Richmond had a pretty campus and everything I wanted to study.
