New to Forum, would like advice Economics major

Hey all, my name is Nick

After juggling around a few majors, I decided to go with Economics. Now as a backstory, I also have military experience.

I was a Crew Chief on C-130s in the Air force for four years
I also completed for what its' worth, a Community College of the Air Force, Degree in Applied Science in Aerospace maintenance technology.

I am currently in University of Colorado's Economics program (a BA program) and am looking for some confidence.

I look at the degree with nervousness. But I feel the degree is one of the better I can handle. I'm not much for maths (though I have completed to Calc I, and Physics I), I struggle in them and think it is too late to switch.

I think my best chance at a career would be to locate a job with a large Aerospace company running numbers on a computer. Not my most ideal situation, but I want to generate cashflow after college.

I want to focus more on computer sciences as well because I think it is more marketable. I'm planning on steering away from most poli-sci courses and focusing on higher-level economics courses that incorporate computer knowledge.

I'm also a GI, and came to the school with quite a large bit of credit. I have 3 semesters left of Economics is one of the biggest reasons as to the switch. With all lower level econ out of the way (I focused on business while in the AF), and many of my electives taken care of because of the dabbling in other degrees, I only have 65 credits left to graduation. Granted, I'm not counting my chickens before they're hatched, because they are all upper level econ courses.

I didn't know where to post this, so I hope it is getting to someone who can give me a few votes of confidence or pointers for the industry.

thanks,
