So after not doing as well as I hope I would do on the SAT I decided to try the ACT.I took a practice test today and received a 27 on a Princeton review test. Do you know if princeton's test is similar to the real ACT or if it's a bit more challenging? What about Kaplan? My goal is to achieve a 30 but I'm nervous as to how accurate my score on this practice test is because it's my only hope since the SAT is out of the picture ! Do you guys have any tips or advice about the ACT ( for each of the sections) and if you've taken the act and sat your views on which one you prefer more! THANK YOU!!! much needed help...stressed!

I am taking the ACT as well for the first time in September since the SATs didnt go so well for me, as well as i wanted at least. I used the PR book for my SATs, completely inaccurate! I wouldnt go with PR again, i’ve heard Barron’s 36 is good and the Red Book.

I’ve also heard that Princeton’s 1296 questions are good.

Princeton review is a tad bit harder then the real deal. However, I think it is the best prep-book (there are 10 tests vs the 3 in the red book). So … yes, you can get a 30 if you study and practice.
