Does anyone know what the new tuition rate is? It was supposed to have been voted upon last night at the Regents meeting. We're supposed to pay the first payment by July 1, but they don't even tell you how much to pay until now, pretty ridiculous.

5.6% hike.

Very reasonable.

They also approved 118 million in financial aid, almost 12% increase, the largest amount ever i think budgeted for financial aid.

Michigan is capitalizing on the current economic conditions (buying Pfizer’s research HQ at a ridiculously discounted rate, increasing tuition by a reasonable amount and increasing its financial aid budget by a record 12%. Michigan is going to come out of this depression better off than many of its peers.

Aww come on, it’s not a depression. Don’t make it sound worse than it is already. =P

New Tuition for instate: $11,659

Does anyone know what will be the new tuition for in-state graduate students?

they should keep out of state tuition flat and mass raise in state tuition to force the state’s hand to provide more funding than a paltry single digit percentage. Hard to find a state flagship with such pathetic funding from the state.

The state of Michigan should be thankful that they have a world class university accessible for its resident by the name of University of Michigan, not the other way around.

The graduate student tuition rate has been set and is available on the internet.

Goodness, I am so glad I am not an OOS student!!

What a rip off for OOS! Glad I’m graduating next year. That amount of tuition is vulgar.
