New vs Old SAT

I am a Junior this year, and have an opportunity to take the old SAT (2400 scale) and/or the New SAT (1600 scale, other differences as well).

At this point I could take the old SAT in January and will take New SAT in March.

I took the PSAT in October, the scores will come out in a few weeks, and this was for the New SAT. It felt pretty good, and was similar to the ACT as far as difficulty in my opinion. I got a 33 on the ACT (took practice ACT sophomore year, no other significant preparation)

Should I take the Old SAT or the New SAT, or both? I think I can do really well on the New one with more time to prep and how the PSAT felt. Wouldn’t have that much time to prep for Old SAT, but should I still try to take it? My ACT score lines up with a high 2100 (https://www.act.org/aap/concordance/estimate.html)

I am targeting USC and other schools of similar caliber

Is it worth it to take both?

Depends on your vocabulary range. You should go check out some large SAT word lists, and if you feel confident, you should take the old SAT. If not, wait on the new one.
