I've noticed that alot of the people at my school and on this website have high writing scores. It seems that most people are getting highest in writing, regardless of their math or verbal scores, and I've seen alot of 800's. Has anyone else noticed this? Do you think it is due to the fact that people were so nervous for the change that they overstudied (if thats possible)?

It might be that people overstudied. . . I'm not sure how inflated it is though. I mean the curve is a little more generous for writing than for CR and math, but there are plenty of people here who don't have great writing scorse. Personally, my writing score was slightly lower than CR and math, and I think that's the case with quite a few other CCers too.

My writing, 740, was my lowest :-(

Can't seem to get past a 10 on the essay....

There was another thread on this. I don't think this board is at all representative. But- even on this board there are a lot of kids with 1400 + and then 630-670 writing. It is scored harder than the old SAT II writing.

WHOOO! like i said, i'm one of em... 1470 M+R 660 W

yeah the essay seems pretty mysterious, I'm a pretty good writer and I have good style, but my organization wasn't great, and I got a 12
