Has anyone considered both Northwestern & NYU? What are your feelings about the too? Chicago is cold...and Northwestern is out of the city, but that might be a good thing...

I looked a lot into Northwestern during the college process (I'm a freshman at NYU) and I found it to be a very "work hard play hard " oriented environment. For example, NU works on a trimester system, so you would end up taking more classes at the end of the year than you would at NYU. NU is also a big ten school, so sports, like football, are huge there while not so much at NYU. As for being in the city, NYU is obviously in the heart of NY, while NU is in evanston, which is about a 30 min el ride to Chicago which, in my opinion, is cleaner than NY, but not as fun. Both are great schools, but it also depends on what you want to study. Hope that helped!

Chicago is CLEANER than NY?? Haven't been to NY but live extremely close to Chicago (my boyfriend just moved there to go to Columbia college) and go there often. It never struck me as clean...and to think NY is dirtier. That's a kick in my butt. I hate litter and dirtiness.
