I have a conundrum: all of my essays tend to focus on the internship and cultural opportunities found in New York (specifically on wall street because of my interest in economics) as opposed to specific aspects of academics at NYU. Do you guys think this would work well?

Honestly? Not really.
It’s fine to bring it up and everything, but you’re going to have to expand and show you’ve got a real, genuine interest in the school. There are a lot of schools in New York City. What makes NYU so special that you want to go there?

Well that’s the problem, my interest in NYU is related to internship opportunities, culture etc. The school is fine but to be honest the campus, class sizes etc don’t interest me much (the classes themselves are great though). I want to be candid in my essays and not sound like a brochure.

On another note I really wish the supplement could be an attached word document: my browser froze up and my great proofread essays were lost.

Does anyone want to proofread my essays/give me advice? I’ll PM them to you and reward you with something.
