Junior Year, im doing alot better, my current GPA is a 3.6, Ill probaly end the school year with a 3.6 or 3.5

Senior Year,-Im in college level english classes, college level social studies classes, college level spanish 5, im continuing with math, im taking AP Bio, and regular physics

Other Stats

-I took my SAT MAY 1st, my prediction on what Ill get is between 1700-1800, this is from my PSAT and studying, ill probaly take it again in the fall to improve my score

-Ill take the SAT Subject Tests in Literature, US History, Spanish

-I might take the SAT subject tests in Math,Chem, bio

-Im determined to go to a good university, and possibly study pre-med

-My first three years oh high school I wasnt in any special classes (Honors, Ap's)

Help me out anyone ?:) and maybe tell me what I have to do to get into Syracuse

anyone  wna help me out

I think you have a very good chance at getting into syracuse. Your grades are good, and being hispanic will help. I would take the SAT again in the fall to try and improve your score a little, but you shoud get in.

My brother got in SU and he didn’t do so hot in school. There is indeed hope!

i’m in the same boat as you! what college do you intend on applying to at SU ?

Does Syracuse even require the SAT II’s? Their site is somewhat unorganized when it comes down to specific information.

Im planning on applying to the college of liberal arts and sciences  anyone wana else help me out :)

No, Syracuse dosent require the subject tests, but I might take 1 or 2 to prove my proficiency in a subject

Quick update, im taking AP bio and AP chem, not physics

Syracuse is probably the only school on your list that would not be a reach for you.
ED will help you.

Good luck!

(and make sure you add a few safetys to your list)

Hey I was wondering, im going to heavily rely on financial aid being im coming from a low income family, should I not apply ED?

Well, then it might be a problem is Syracuse admits you but does not meet all of your needs.

You might want to have a conversation with someone in Syracuse’s financial aid office about this.

help please!!!

I don’t know alot about ED but if fin-aid is very important to you, you should have some back up schools(SUNY) which are way cheaper. You also have to consider that you have personal expenses as well. Have you tried applying for scholarships, cause financial wise that is all I can recommend. I wouldn’t rely too much on fin-aid, to me they are shady.

hofstra easily, uconn, probably fordham( its getting harder unfortunately)
maybe NYU, probably not UVA and to be honest i dont know much about Syracuse or Stony Brook sorry

i think the fact that your family is low income + you’re hispanic, + you’re a first generation college student, you gpa of 3.5/3.6 is OK. not superb tho. I think that you have a chance at Syracuse, and ED will definately help you.

Yeah I’d agree with Syracuse ED. NYU and UVA are kind of out of the picture for this candidate, unfortunately.

You will definitely get into Syracuse. I know so many people who had lower GPA’s get into that school. Please chance me back!!
