I'm from Southern California, and I REALLY want to get into a New York school. my gpa is a 2.56 (trying to raise it/ hoping it will raise by the end of the semester), and i got a 21 on my ACT. i went through a lot sophomore year, and that's why my GPA is low (family always gone, personal issues, etc) . other than that, i've had over a 3.2 all my years except sophomore year. i was in 3 AP classes junior year, and 3 AP classes this year. i also am the president of 2 clubs (American Red Cross & Multiracial Club), i have letters of rec from my AP teachers, i have a strong essay, and I made up every bad grade via summer school and online. I really want to apply to:
-Pace University
-Marymount Manhattan
-SUNY Potsdam
-SUNY Albany
-Manhattan College
-Sage College of Albany
-Eugene Lang- The New School

do i have a chance for any of these schools? i wrote about my sophomore year in my essay, and just got straight to the point. will colleges see my effort? please no mean comments. i'm so stressed out :(
