new york state scholars

did any NYS residents get invited may1st to go to this thing at cornell.
i went to this, does the fact that they invited me to attend (it wasnt an open nys invitation) help on the admissions. is it worthy to note on the application?

That's a good question. I went, and it's what got me interested in Cornell. I don't really know how much it will help us in admissions, but the fact that we were invited means that we're already viable candidates, in my opinion.

bumppppppp

hey .... does anyone know if there is a website online about this, i remember that there was but cant find the link.... i wanna figure out the exact name of what it was so i can mention it on my app...

what r u talking about?

may 1st 2005 of this year, certain NYS residents (based on PSAT scores i think) were invited to an open house at cornell, and it was called something like the NYS Scholars

there was some website about it from the cornell site, im looking for it now so that I can mention on my application that I attended it.

I got a notice... I dunno, I didn't go, but I got accepted ED... I think it's an automatic send kinda thing to anyone w/ above avg. PSATs...

i don't think so my friend who go in ed to dartmouth was in the 98th percentile she didn't get any notice

Scratch that then. :p

yeah it probly means nothing, ill just write as maybe theyll see that ive done my research about cornell
