These are my top two schools, and I've recently been accepted to both. Of course, I originally applied to NYU's CAS program for a major in english, but was rejected and instead placed in the LSP. Which is fine. The only thing is, I'm really unsure of which school I want to attend.

I guess my whole life, I've wanted a couple things. I've wanted to live in New York City. and I've wanted to be a writer. That said, which school would be a better, more realistic path? The Pratt Institute writing program seems to be either a grand slam hit or a complete miss, while NYU appears to be essentially a good all-around education which could provide more opportunities in the future. Also, the Pratt Writing program appears to have incredibly low retention rates, which is highly scary.

Basically, I'd like to hear from an assortment of people belonging to both schools. What do you guys think of your respective programs? What do I need to know?

The decision is killing me.

Oh, financial aid is also a big factor. I'm waiting on financial aid packages from both schools.

Thank you guys in advance.
