New York University vs. Boston College

Hi I just got accepted into NYU and BC and I'm having trouble choosing between the two. Anyone know which school has a better name globally? Academics? Sports? School spirit? Girls? Night life? Partying? Opportunities? Alumni? I wanna have the best experience possible. Oh yea I also got waitlisted for Johns Hopkins and I am wondering if I should go for it... Oh yea Im still waiting on a lot of the other universities I applied to. I wanna go to medicine afterwards. Which has the best pre-med programs?

Academics: Tied
Sports: BC
School Spirit: BC
Girls: BC girls are prettier, but there are more girls at NYU
Night Life: NYU, it’s in NYC after all.
Partying: BC has better campus parties, but NYU has a lot better acces to clubs and bars.
Opportunities: About the same. NYU maybe has a slight edge.
Alumni: I don’t know

For pre-med, it doesn’t really matter.

Thanks. Should I ask to still be on the waitlist for Johns Hopkins? oh and isnt boston a great city as well?

For what its worth, if you’re under 21, how much partying can you really do in NYC?

There’s a big difference between NYU and BC. One actually has a campus and the other one doesnt. At NYU you’ll be on your own.

If you say you want to have the best “college” experience possible, and if things such as sports and school spirit are a part of that, then I think it’s clear that you’d be leaning towards BC. The campuses really couldn’t be more different (if NYU can even be said to have a campus), and my impression from our visit there was that students go to NYU for a city experience more than a college experience.
