Hi all, I was wondering, what are my chances of getting in?

Info:

GPA: 3.9/4.0
SAT: 1700 :frowning:
ACT: 24 :frowning:
(Clearly my test taking isn’t strong, but academically I am…)

Courses:

9th: No Honors/AP
10th: Honors Biology
11th: AP U.S. History, Honors Spanish
12th: AP Spanish

Extra Curricular:

Music - Clarinet (8 years and have participated in many competitions/festivals)
Clubs - Business Club, Rotary Interact Club, Asian Student Union (9th Grade)
Honors: National Honor Society (NHS), Tri-M Music Honor Society
Tons of volunteer Community Service hours :slight_smile:

I’d say NYU is a reach for you :c Your ECs and GPA are great, but you’re lacking in terms of scores. If your essays are good, NYU might become a low reach.

On top of what ettudis said about your test scores (which I’m sure you already knew), your courseload lacks rigor. I’d also say NYU is a reach.
