Newhouse chances preaseeee

<p>i haven't completed my syracuse app yet but just some general opinions on my chances for newhouse would be greatly appreciated =) and ps this is my first chances thread so feel free to tell me if i should add in other info to get a better overview</p>

<p>-2150 SAT (760 CR, 730 W, 660 M) getting my november scores back on the 28th with HOPEFULLY slightly higher scores in the 3 sections, especially math and writing considering i actually finished my essay this time
-SAT IIs: 800 Lit, 680 Math IC, 650 U.S. Hist (i also have an immensely crappy bio score but i do not feel like posting it and being publicly humiliated so just know that it blowssss like no other)
-my gpa sucks. 3.7 W, which means its probably considerably lower UW =( wah (this is due to poor grades in math/science subjects.. aka the bane of my existence! grrr)
-rigorous course load with mostly honors/AP courses
-EC's: National Honor Society, French Honor Society (treasurer), Tri-M Music Honor Society (secretary), Assistant Concertmistress of school orchestra, Orchestra Secretary and past treasurer, Youth Group president and past secretary & treasurer, school newspaper editor, varsity bowling 3 yrs, pit orchestra 4 yrs, fair amount of volunteer hours, awards in various essay contests, full scholarship to music summer program, acceptance for some other selective cultural summer program, community stuff, lots of music and church stuff, national merit scholar semi-finalist, blah blah blah ok this is tiring</p>

<p>thankssssss in advance for any input! :D oh and does syracuse place a lot of emphasis on essays?</p>

<p>yayy! ok, my new SAT score is 2260 - (800 CR, 800 W, 660 M) if that changes anything. thanks again =D</p>

<p>Chances are good, I got accepted to Newhouse with a 1220 SAT (1800) and my GPA was 3.8.</p>

<p>I was heavily involved in journalism, broadcasting high school basketball games on the local cable channel. However, your academics will probably get you accepted to Newhouse.</p>
