<p>a. what are the average stats for regular syracuse undergrad admissions?
b. how much higher than the average do you need to have to get into newhouse?
c. how hard is it to get into newhouse?</p>

<p>Avaerage weighted GPA from my schools was around 3.5-3.6. This is weighted and not unweighted. Median SATs were around 1210. This is the median; thus, half had lower scores.</p>
<p>Newhouse requires about 100 points more in the SAT and a slightly higher GPA.</p>
<p>It's not that hard to get into Newhouse from what I can see. You do, however, need to be a decent student and have decent SATs of around 1300.</p>
<p>Pretty sure the average GPA is 3.8 for Newhouse. Acceptance rate is 10%.</p>
<p>And according to the lady I talked to when I visited, average SAT scores were around 1280 for Newhouse students. The 3.8/10% numbers are correct.</p>
<p>Worth mentioning: it's pretty obvious that although 10% is a really scary number, the kids aren't that self-selected, b/c Syracuse as a whole definitely doesn't have the reputation Newhouse does. It was an interesting foil to see the kinds of questions kids on the general tour were asking, compared to the Newhouse prospectives however...definitely more intelligent questions coming from the latter.</p>
