News About the General Studies Program (GSP)

For your information.

<a href="http://www.nyunews.com/vnews/display.v/ART/2006/09/13/4507854a633ca%5B/url%5D">http://www.nyunews.com/vnews/display.v/ART/2006/09/13/4507854a633ca</a></p>

So I guess all GSP students are offically in CAS and after completion of the GSP program they will just move on to their majors instead of transferring schools.

of course of course

Not quite. GSP is under the FAS (Faculty of A&S), not CAS (College of Arts & Science). So GSP is "side by side" with CAS, not in or under CAS. Up in the air is the status of the faculty. For example, GSP has "master teachers". FAS currently has only the usual Professor, Associate P, Assistant P, .... ranks.
