So far, there's been 2 waves and I've been freaking out when my letter will come in. I'm not saying I'll get in for sure, but I would love to go there! I know the theatre school got their letters, but my main question is Any USC architecture majors hear/get their acceptance letter or rejection?

Recs: Should have been great.
Essays: Great reviews on them all around, teachers I don’t have (but got to proofread my essays) said mere was some of the best they’ve seen
Portfolio: Pretty strong imo, and unusual in the large amount of digital art as opposed to the other portfolios I’ve seen.

I actually just got my acceptance packet today! Im a little surprised that I got in.

Top 50 public high school (US News)
SAT: 2020
GPA: ~4.0
I didnt turn in any SATII’s

-I volunteer a lot(animal shelter, police dept., historical silent film museum), around 600 hours since freshman year. In my essay I wrote about my experiences volunteering with my city’s police department, definitely a unique experience.
-Attended an architecture program at Washington University in St. Louis
-I took design classes at San Francisco academy of Art. I showed interest in architecture perhaps?
-won a few local art awards, nothing big (county fair, being exhibited at art galleries, etc.)
Recommendations: 2 recs. from my teachers at school. One of my teachers really liked me, so Im guessing hers was above and beyond. My architecture professor from Washington U. also wrote a rec. for me, and I think that was one of the aspects of my application that balanced out my mediocre grades.

I spent a lot of time on my portfolio; although my work wasn’t the most unique (paintings, sketches, grahpite drawings,3 D models), I think it showed skill.
