Newsflash!

Ithaca just got its own Wal-Mart!

kewl, but i hate walmart. they broke my $160 watch  !!!

Why would you get them to repair your expensive watch?

i bought it there. i needed my band adjusted (the service lady was on break when i bought it, so i had to go back another day). then they broke it. so i returned it. tried other walmarts, but they didnt carry the watch. so i had my dad go and buy it and thankfully the lady was there that time. it was an 160 buck gruen swiss automatic watch. couldn't find it anywhere else

sweet! walmart rocks! aren't they open 24 hours a day? then we can be cool and hang out ther at 3 am.....or not....haha yeah but that's cool. it's nice to have commercial stuff like that when you're at college.

I've never been to a walmart :o

you're not missing much. service is TERRIBLE. stuff is cheap, so that's good. i only go for school supplies

i despise wal-mart

and their commercials

hahahahaha

I'm more of a Target kind of girl....

yea me too definitely. :)

wal-mart is the worst employer. any word of "union" and they'll fire you for not being "professional" (aka saying you said a curse word even though you might not have). but i have to give it to them that they are for the most part very cheap. I may be bias as i lived in the town that had the FIRST wal-mart, so I've always gone shopping there.

There is a Wal-Mart supercenter in my hometown. It gets crowded and the lines are slow but the prices of groceries are the lowest in town. I don't expect the service to be tip-top. You get what you pay for, and Wal-Mart employees make crappy wages. And there is a high turnover rate. An article in the Cornell Daily Sun said that 50% of Wal-Mart's employees in 2003 did not continue into 2004.

i have a wal-mart supercenter in my small and despicable town. all the "hill billies" go there to shop. i hate the place, but it is convenient and cheap. some of the people from my school just go there to "hang out." geeeeez. their life must be bad.

its funny that this thread was titled "news flash" hahahahahahahaha!

At least South Park taught us all how to stop Wal Mart...just in case...

Wal Mart sells something worth $160? Newsflash to me!

that's too bad about the employees. i kind of wanted to work there so i could see a yellow smiley face fly around the store every once in a while crashing into signs followed by a train of smiling people.

walmart is evil...their employment practices are deplorable and the stores are dirty.

anyplace where you can by underware, chips. Halo2, and The Warriors at the same store is good in my book
