Newspaper: Alone vs Partner?

I guess this can apply to anything and not just newspaper, but have any of you guys had to team up with one or more people to write articles or something, and it just turned into a mess? I write for the sports section and for this semester (at least) I'm covering one of my school's teams with some other guy who's a senior. I worked alone covering another team last year and I liked doing everything at my own pace and whatnot.

Anyway, we're writing our first article for this week and I always get a little worried about deadlines and stuff and he sent me a pretty rude text saying to back off and stuff which just made me laugh because it really came out of nowhere. I just hope this doesn't carry on like this throughout the semester. So what are your guys' experiences? Have you liked it better working alone, or in tandem with others?

Well, I don’t think anyone honestly likes to have someone else air out their insecurities to them. If it was really rude in relation to who you were and all that and if they’re not known for getting work done, then I’d say there is a problem.

Working together can be fun IF you have the right kind of person to work with. I find it more fun to work in teams than just by myself. Kinda sounds like this person is a jerk, tho. It’s nice to have two different perspectives to compare over the same events, however.

yea, in general i like working alone better
