im probably gonna go to bc unless i get into uva or unc. what is the deal with the two campuses and which is better? it would seem obvious that bc upper is in walking distance and newton is not that newton would be worse. but does one ahve newer/nicer dorms? help please

You will not find a clear answer. Everyone basically loves which campus they live on. Some upperclassmen who have lived on Newton enjoy going back and meeting up with friends as a reunion. The food on Newton is considered better, and there is even a rumor that the dorm rooms are slightly bigger. What some people love the most is the feeling of going "home" after classes. Upper is closer and easier to get to, and you are much closer to everything going on. The dorms are roughly the same age.

I am sure you will be happy on either campus if you chose to go.

thanks for the insight

i would pick upper. i chose upper as a freshman but got put on newton and even though i enjoyed it there.. i still wish i would have lived on upper. yes, newton dorms are bigger and the food is MUCH better and it was great to have a freshman only community. however, most of the people i wound up friends with lived on upper so i kinda wish i lived there just becuase of that.

also, remember you have a chance of getting a forced triple on upper, and even if you request upper (like me) there is a chance you will be put on newton.
