"Next Generation" of College Confidential Here Already? (FALL 2010 Transfers)

like any school, it depends on what grad school youre applying to.

and i have no idea about grossmont vs mesa. im trying to go to grossmont if they offer winter this year though.

What about palomar njoy? I am biased toward mesa. I think it’s all the same.

if you look, they really dont offer much =/

Woah, I accidently skipped over the part where you said hs will be looked at. How important is hs? Am I totally ****ed now?

Oh you mean for winter? Yeah… Why do you need to take winter classes? I always take winter off!!!

miracosta is the best sd county school, respec’

do you go there logicwarrior?! and im taking classes during winter to improve the gpa lol. my gps is kind of low for an impacted major =/ so yeah no breaks!

OrganicGreenTea- I go to City College in San Diego, but i’ve taken a class at Mesa, and have a couple more there in the fall. I’d say just stay at mesa college, it’s easier logistically, i think. So you’re not taking classes everywhere- why not try City or Miramar (kind of far, i know) if you want something new- they’re all in the same “district.”

well i took a class at miramar and was thoroughly unimpressed by both the campus and my teacher (who was actually head of her department). Never been to City, but I honestly feel like City and Miramar are just watered down versions of Mesa =/

i live in SD proper, so miracosta and palomar are out of the question. too far.

so i just checked out statfinder and got really disparate statistics. for my major/GPA it says my chance for cal is around 45%, but for my gpa/prior university type i get like 14% and for major/prior university type i get around 20%.

Similar situation here: Computer science from UCR.

i am EE from USC, i didn’t realize how much worse a shot i have not coming out of a CC/UC

Well, being from USC is probably better than being from a Cal State at least, which I’m sure a lot of the applicants are from.

What happened to our thread?!

I guess I’ll restart again. Is it me, or did CC change colors to White/Baby Blue? It hurts my eyes. Everyone decided where they’re going to apply next Fall?

anything is better than the old CC colors. try and lower your monitor brightness.

I’m applying: UCB, UCLA, UCSB, UCI, UCSD.

I like the new colors. They’re fresh.

I’m applying to:
UC Berkeley
UCLA
UCSD

additionally, Whittier College.

I changed mine back to the OG colors. The new colors we’re hurting my eyes. I think this thread will pick up again end of next month.

I’m applying to:
UC Berkeley
UCLA (First Choice)
UCSD
UCD
UCI

Its good to have a thread where everyone shares the same early anxiety. I an an Econ major and will be applying to.

UC Berkeley
UCLA
UCSD
UCD
Boston University (Incase I move back, and they accept the IGETC)

I wish everyone good luck and pleasant waiting.

umm why don’t you make the chart display major+gpa+prior university type. problem solved.

I like the original colors far more. Its a lot easier to read in my opinion.
I’m applying to:
UCLA
UCB
Maybe:
UCSD
UCSB
UCD
