but i just want school to start already haha. because fall will be the last of anything we can put on these darn apps and we can finally get these damn applications underway…instead of checking this board all the time for information we kind of already know about applying ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh. lol woohoo fall 2010 transfers</p>
<p>njoy. I feel your pain. I am really done with this summer session. Lets get to the good stuff. Its just that this summer session is really kicking my butt. I am never taking morning class again…let alone one that starts at 7:45. My brain doesnt work at that time.</p>
<p>The thing with this stupid but awesome website…is that it had a different purpose for me when I first started checking out the posts and threads. It was seeing all the stats of the people who got in and didnt blah blah. It was motivating to see the stats of people getting in to the schools they wanted. Now I just have to wait until its our turn. It was easier to watch the anxiety from a distance. And now its us and we have to do all of the stressing and this website is no longer as motivating or exciting to me.</p>
<p>Alas, I still check this shiz like all the time.</p>

<p>Another question: For those of you who have taken online classes, how are they? Are there set times you HAVE to be online or what? And are they entirely online or does the professor ask you to come to school to take exams or something? How many online classes are too much? Please enlighten me. I want to go overseas after Fall so was wondering if I should take easy online classes during Winter to boost my GPA. Advice anyone? Thanks (:</p>
<p>Online is the absolute best! I have a crazy schedule so you can work ahead if you have time and pretty much finish the whole class in like 2 weeks. I am taking 3 online classes in the fall. I love them. Take online classes! All of my teachers have been really responsive and great for my online classes. Do it! Most of my units are from online classes… :)</p>
<p>lol i have an entirely different opinion about online classes lol. i think they suck…like really suck lol it just depends on the type of person you are and if youre really willing to discipline yourself to do everything before hand for your online class. me personally would rather take two calculas classes rather than an online haha but i like math so idk. i will have to take one online class in fall and there are like 4 class meetings on saturdays? and this drive is 2 hours away for me haha, but out of the 3 online classes i have taken, this is the only that has required meetings…but i read on this guys ratemyprofessor that he usually says hell with the meetings.</p>
<p>so really it depends on what type of person you are. i hate them loll</p>
<p>-Of course there are pros/cons to doing the online thing. I like it because if at 3:00 in the morning I feel like getting ahead in a class…I can. It also depends on the type of person you are. I like to be able to get things done early. You have to be really on-top of things in an online class and know when all the deadlines are…blah blah…and plan ahead.<br>
-Some schools you have to go in and take the test or you need to go in and have meetings. (I have never had to do that.)<br>
-So really I have no complaints with my school’s online classes. Like njoy said some people have different opinions… lol.</p>
<p>I’ve found my online classes to be great. I pick the online classes that would be easy for me if I took the class normally in a classroom. I like them, because I don’t have to show up to BS classes and listen to a bad teacher try and teach. I also tend to pick the online class that are completely online or the most have the final on campus. Online classes are great to add to a hectic semester/quarter, because you can do them on your own time.</p>

<p>summer school is almost over for me. my precalc class finishes this wednesday… yeahhh! and my other two classes should be finishing in the next week or so. then after like 3 or 4 weeks, fall semester begins! -__- i need a loooong break from academics ASAP. </p>
<p>hopefully i can take this road trip aug7-12 with some buddies to socal and check out some campuses there…</p>
<p>Ahh. Thanks for the responses. Online classes don’t seem to harsh, but the only thing that would keep me from doing it are the class meetings, if any… Since I’ll be out of the country. That would really suck, haha.</p>

<p>Be weary of online classes…not all of em are that easy. Some profs give you the most ridiculous tests. ever.</p>

<p>Hm, seems to me like quite a few people like online classes. I went over the ‘demo online class’ thing and it seems a bit complicated, and I’m pretty tech savvy. HAH. Or maybe it’s just the demo kaz that thing sucked.</p>
<p>For those at SMC, have any of you taken Counseling 20? Haha. I’m taking it this Fall to boost my GPA (also kaz I don’t know what else to take). Is it worth taking? I heard it’s a lot of busy work.</p>

<p>COUNS 20 is all busy work and teaching you how to learn from what I’ve heard hahaha.
