<p>I met with a counselor today @ SMC (she used to work in admissions @ UCLA) and she told me that anything under 3.90 was not looked at, and it didn’t matter how amazing the personal statements were. She said I should apply to USB as Comm and UCLA as Poli Sci or Soc, etc.</p>
<p>man, that’s way too tough… GPA isn’t everything after all.</p>

<p>I got credit for AP US Gov though. So does the poli sci cancel out those credits giving me only 3 in total? So confusing haha. I emailed scholars program and they told me to not to use this in place of a counselor meeting and to make an appointment. It was just a small question lol…</p>

<p>erikuh - I was shocked when I heard all of the honors units have to be done by the fall. That’s when I realized it’d be impossible for me to finish TAP and all of Haas’ prereqs.</p>

<p>For Cal it’s Haas and everywhere else it’s either econ or biz econ. My summer is gonna be hell… 13 units and an internship lined up.</p>

<p>Dude! Thats intense… I want 12 units but the counselor said 11 is the limit before I ask the dean? This semester is a pain too…Botany 1, Eng 2, Math52 stats, Soc 1, Comm10 lol</p>
<p>Hmm… well I haven’t talked to my counselor yet about extending my units for the summer. Do you think it’s a difficult process to go through the dean? I’m sure I can handle it because two of the three classes are online.</p>
<p>It probably wont be difficult but I dont like to waste time at school waiting to talk to counselors and stuff… I suggest you get the 11 units now and then ask to bump it to 13 through the dean or w/e Online classes RULE lol Nothing beats doing an online discussion in your pajamas at 12 in the afternoon.</p>
