As has been said though, SS does not have as big of an impact as most people think it does. There are roughly 700 people who go to the Summer Seminars, and only around 40% or so of cadets went to SS. It's just an opportunity for you to see if you really want to go to USAFA.

Only if you are an outright jerk and INTENTIONALLY mess stuff up will it hurt your chances. Which, at that point, you should probably consider going somewhere else any way, although the Academy may be the judge of that.

But I'm hoping they actually fit our PT shirts when we get there, since I'm really tiny (and thus, will not fit into the XL men's or whatever it was that I've heard was issued in summer seminar). But from what I've seen, they do.

On the contrary, acceptance to SS is looked upon favorably by Academy admissions, according to their website.

Quote: "Non-selection does not mean you will not be qualified for the Academy. On the other hand, **while looked upon favorably,* selection does not ensure an appointment to the Academy."*

Then you have some extra room. lol. Shirts will be very LOW on the list of worries.

And thats what I meant about Summer sci... It doesnt kill you if you dont get it, at the same time getting in does not mean you will be in the academy. HOWEVER, it can be seen a strong step and POSSIBLY a negative mark. Im not talking extremes here...

"Shirts will be very LOW on the list of worries."
Yeah, I was thinking "I-day's in roughly 2 and a half weeks and we're talking about SHIRTS?" I think I need a hobby or something.
Anyways, Z-Man 07 is right, SS really doesn't make or break the deal. I didn't go, and I leaving to get my head yelled off in 2-ish weeks. And if you really think you're missing out, just wait until those guys come back and start posting about how it was (this is session a's week I think).
