Looks like the first wave of admission decisions went out on 9/20.
When does the next wave go out based on past experience?
They go out every week normally. The past has been: auto-admits as the get processed every week, the review admit: go out later. There are basically a sparse few during the auto-admit period ( the ‘of course top of the pile ones’) then there is a big wave of review admits after the Dec 1 deadline (the ‘yes, I think this one will do well’) then it is weekly thereafter. The no’s, blinn team, galveston, Gateway & PSA’s are almost always after Dec 1 since you can update your file until that time (vs. dealing with lots of appeals). Keep in mind by TX law they HAVE to accept the top 10% TX students, so they need to wait to see how many of those they have, combined with the academic admits who are also guaranteed admission to see how many review applicants they can add to the mix. IF your student is an auto-admit, they will hear as soon as they process your application once the first wave of acceptances have begun.
