Seems like the second wave has started and So CAL students received letters.
OOS will receive them too soon from what i'm hearing.
Is this the last wave?
Are the rest of the acceptances going to come out in huge waves of acceptance or will they be sent out individually?
If there is a wave, can anybody have a smart guess when it'll be?

There will be more waves, next will probably be on Friday.

(if all goes according to previous years)

i’m really going to start frantically checking my mailbox daily, starting this week -_-

Do you mean USC will send out another batch next friday and us OOSers will get them mon/tues or more people will be receiving them on friday?

^the last wave was sent out last friday, meaning us OOS-ers would receive them in the next couple of days [assuming we’re in that batch]. that poster is referring to a new batch that might be sent out this coming friday :]

i’m so nervous :(

if socal got letters on friday/saturday, should the sf bay area be getting them tomorrow?

Bay area should receive letters from this past mailing Tuesday through Thursday. Packets are sent by USPS, so it is difficult to guess the exact day.

In other years admission letters were sent through late March, so keep on checking the mailbox the next couple of weeks.

USC will continue sending out acceptances until the very end of March. First week of April is rejections.

@AppleWater…are you sure that the first week of april is rejections? like…100% positive based on the past? :/

USC supposedly sends out rejections in the first week of April. To tell you the truth, they send out rejections once they’re done sending out ALL acceptances. Last year, the rejections came at the END of March.

Judging from the fact USC is trying to decrease the number of acceptances this year, they might finish earlier and send out rejections earlier…who knows…

But either way, regardless of the time, USC sends acceptances first THEN acceptances?
For sure?

For sure…

anyone know how these waves are organized?
i heard from a friend that they’re sent out by major…but not sure
