Next Year

I was waitlisted, but I still really want to go here. I will be going to MSU next year unless a spot opens up, and was wondering if someone could give me some suggestions on when to apply as a transfer, what classes to take that will transfer credits, etc. Basically, what I can do next year to give me the best chance of being accepted as a transfer with sophomore status.

Thanks in advance.

Take relevant classes and maintain a high GPA (at least a 3.5, over 3.7 if possible).

MY niece tried to transfer after her freshman year at State. Don't be too upset if you have to wait until you're a junior to get in. I understand it's very tough to get in just after one year. Btw, she has maintained a 3.89 gpa with many honors courses and she still hasn't heard from U-M if she is in/out. It's kind of discouraging.

You don't suppose it would be worth it to take a year off and apply next fall do you? I'm not a shoe-in with an EA application, but a have a pretty good shot.
