If you want a LAC-type school for Investment banking Dartmouth is the clear leader (10/10). Its recruiting is phenomenal. After Dartmouth, Williams does a great job (9/10). Amherst does pretty well also (8/10). Then I would lump Middlebury, Colgate (interestingly), Barnard, Wellesley, and Bowdoin (6-7/10). The others (Haverford, Vassar, smith, Swat, Carleton, others) do okay but there is less of a focus on recruiting.

to slipper1234,
for investment banking,what about MHC?
how do we judge the recruiting among these LACs?or how to search for these information?
btw, usually which major is more fit for investment banking?
thanx a lot.sorry about so many questions.im new here^^

In order of prefrence:

Stanford
all the Ivies (besides Yale, Princeton, and Harvard (those jerks :( )
John Hopkins, Duke, Berkley
Chicago, McGill

I may or not be applying next year (for sophmore status). I'm thinking about applying as a junior because I understand that transfer students don't get a lot of financial aid (at least to these colleges) and my college is giving me a full ride so I don't if I will apply next year.

From Clarkson University

whoever says that a smith does a bad job of recruiting is absolutely mad.

my sister graduated from smith in 2002 and the educational/job opportunities that her classmates are now pursuing are phenomenal.

my sister is in currently at penn med
her friends:
works at the hague for the united nations
works for goldman sachs (oh only after getting a full ride from harvard business school)
got her pHD in english from columbia
got her pHD in education from penn

...and that is only in one circle of friends...

smith creates strong, independent, woman scholars!

will u apply smith?

From UNC:

Duke, Cornell, UVA, Berkeley, NYU (in no order)
