Who all has got their class schedule for this upcoming year? How do you like it? Did it get butchered beyond repair? heh

Mine finally came in and it's (nearly) perfect. Got all the classes I wanted. The only down side is I found out my school no longer has an Honors Government/Economics class. So, well, you know... Itll probably be a class with hoodlums and thugs.

our school split this year so all the upcoming seniors got to pick their classes halfway through last year....then finding that total our school knew how many teachers we needed

so i havent got it yet but i know it will be almost as i requested

Only 2 in person classes, one each semester. :)

It took me 6 months though to have my schedule approved and I will not have concrete knowledge that everything is in order until next week. I didn't get all the classes I wanted. Guess what, we only have 17 days until school starts. sigh

Still don't have my schedule finalized, like the order of classes and everything but hopefully I've got all the classes I want. I'm hoping hoping hoping for AP Macroecon/AP US Gov [1 semester each], AP English Lit, AP Euro, AP Latin Lit, Philharmonic Orchestra [I'm the pianist], AP Calc BC. Please let me get it! :]

I got all the classes I wanted except AP Physics (because like 4 people signed up for it) which got replaced with interpersonal relationships and some other weird class.

Our school has not yet released the list of classes each student is in, but my junior scheldule will most likely be:

IB History of the Americas pt.2
IB Mathematics pt.2
IB English 12
IB Spanish 5
IB Latin 4
IB Theory of Knowledge pt. 2
Hon. Earth Science
Theatre Arts 2 (New class that I helped create :))

rmadden - do you have block scheduling? I don't, but I hear everyone that has it pretty much hates it, but I feel like I'd rather have it. You can take more classes. As my schedule is, I can hardly fit my graduation requirements into 4 years.

^ Our school just switched to block scheduling for the first time, and it seems to have the opposite effect. We all seem to be having major conflicts for certain classes, especially APs. Do blocks usually benefit people? Is our school just really lame?

Psych/Sociology
English 4 (Adv.)
Western Civ.
German 4
Adv. Bio
Earth Science
AP Calc AB

... our school hardly offers any APs. The fact that this is the hardest schedule I could take really makes me nervous about college admissions when everybody else's senior year consist of nothing but APs.

^ Don't even worry about that. One great thing about the admissions process is that you are judged within the context of your school. If you are taking the hardest schedule available in your school, you're all set (as long as you pull off good grades).

AP Calculus BC online
AP Physics B online
Chemistry Honors
General Biology I Dual enrollment online (Honors)
English II Honors
Elementary Spanish I Dual enrollment online (Standard)
Elementary Spanish II Dual enrollment online (Honors)
Intermediate Spanish I Dual enrollment online (Honors)
Intermediate Spanish II Dual enrollment online (Honors)

We have obligatory classes here... no APs, no Honors. I'll self-study some APs though, and maybe get started on learning Spanish by taking a class at the university or something.... The Spanish classes were often in the same time slot as my sciences ones, thanks to our block scheduling. Arrgh.... We don't pick our classes, except for electives (4 periods on 36). Also, there's no grade skipping nor advanced classes.

PE
Arts
ESL
Environmental sciences and technology
French
Maths 436
Religious Ethics
Quebec History

In reality, those classes have much more obscure names, that even teachers don't want to say, so you've got the shortened version :)

Well aren't you becoming insane.. ;)

I haven't got my schedule yet, but I'm almost certain I'll get all the classes I want.

Just to reinstate my sophomore schedule from the other "What's your Schedule" thread:
Absolutely nowhere as rigorous as most people on here, but who gives, it's the best my school offers - I'm lazy anyways and I won't stand 10 AP's a year.

Thinking about self-studying like 1 AP, but the money...

It's essentially a code to separate different "forces". Maths 436 is kind of confusing, because they all changed the program and all, but it's still the hardest. 416 is the easiest, but you have more choices if you can get into 436. But essentially, it's the second part of pre-calc (we did most of it in 9th) and some calculus too. They started an education reform here, so it's not too clear, even for the teachers... The 400 code is because I'm in what's called secondary 4, 10th grade in US.
