Congrats to all! One year ago this weekend I was seeing my daughter off at the airport for her flight to Miami. She was a finalist in Musical Theatre and returned after her Young Arts week saying it was a life-changing experience. In the midst of all of her college auditions it helped reaffirm that being a performing artist is indeed what she wants to do with her life. And the friends she made…priceless! That’s awesome about the live-streaming of the YA performances…I would bet they will also have a DVD available later as well. I still watch last year’s DVD of all of the disciplines in total amazement of the talent and maturity on display. Again, congrats!

Hope you’re right about the DVD… I was wondering about that!

It’s an “after the fact” thing, but someone asked about the full list of the NFAA Class of 2011 winners. [They’re updating it now…the Honorable Mention winners are the only ones left to be posted.](http://www.youngarts.org/2011-winners)

My daughter is considering applying for this. I see on the website that 2 girls in my daughters category won an award & their teacher is a YoungArts judge in that category. Does anyone know if Judges are allowed to judge their own students? I’m hoping in that case, they would bring in a more objective judge. Thanks!

Congrats to everyone who got it, and to others, keep you head up!
