NHM or Salisbury or Berkshire or KUA or Cushing

Would you consider Westy…in Simsbury, Ct?

I went onto the school website and see no mention of any formal academic support program --only an “advisor” system. If you have any information that I missed I would be interested in knowing.

Hi-
As a parent of a student at KUA I would also suggest you do yourself and more importantly your son a favor and look at this school. True it is in the middle of nowhere (not really, but close) yet it is a fine school. Lets face it most of these schools are. I would suggest you call KUA and ask to speak to Rachel Tilney, director of admissions. It perhaps is the easiest way of getting some information on the issues that are important to you. The most interesting aspect of KUA is if you have an issue (in 3 years we had one minor one) everyone and I mean everyone will take your call or answer your email. From a teacher to the head of school. It is that type of atmosphere.

As far a the library “issue” at Cushing. Does your child need that to deal with as he trys to find his way in a new school? I understand progress but I think Children have to understand how to do research, without the first part of that being google.

Trust me on Rachel. Give her a call. It will be 10-15 minutes of time well spent.

bump this up now
