NHS Elections

Is anyone dealing with any end-of-year elections for next year? Have any advice? I am running for treasurer for NHS.

Thanks

campaign mb?

dont make it short. i said short.

My NHS elections are probably going to be soon. I'd like to know when, and I'd like to know what others are running for now so that I don't go up against anyone I can't win against. I'll need to confer to truly solidify what I want to run for.

Uhh our club hasn't even inducted new members yet. And only juniors and seniors can be inducted, so we can't do officer elections until after then.

NHS elections for us are coming up around late April / early May. 20 members. 8 positions.

Haha. We have 8 positions in our Amnesty International club too. And I think 7 in Model United Nations. Both of which include only about 15-20 consistently dedicated members.

elections next week. we have over 100 new members. 10+ for president, at least 2 for vp (myself included), at least 4 for treasurer, and at least 5 for secretary. Plus, each person gives speeches.... boy, is it going to be a fun day...

Last year each candidate for the Varsity debate team had to give a 3 minute speech. We had about 30 people trying out. We had to spread it out over two weeks (I had to judge along with the VP and advisor). It was stupid because everyone made it from last year except two people, whom the advisor replaced with her clear favorites (I didn't have much of a say in who got in).

Well, the NHS at my school is really selective. It's not even about the top 5% (or whatever%), because apparently, people who rank in this percentile still get rejected. There's this committee that evaluates the applicants based on academics, ECs, leadership, community service, etc. There were only 15 members last year. They expanded it by 5 people, but that is still small for an NHS chapter.

elections next week....

2 positions need to be filled, and both are one-on-one!!! how fun? any campaigning tips?

Speak softly and carry a big stick.

Lol!.......

haha nice, theone
