Nicest campuses in mid-atlantic region?

One major factor for me in deciding on what college to attend is how nice the college campus is. After 4 years in an ugly high school I want to spend my next 4 at a place which I really enjoy being in. I am currently looking into University of Delaware, UMBC, Lehigh, Syracuse, Ithica, Old Dominion, and Rowan. What are your thoughts on these campuses? Also, what other schools do you know of in the area that have attractive looking campuses?

The area has an overwhelming number of beautiful campuses.

What are your other criteria? Size? Major?

What are your stats?

What are your financial constraints?

What state are you from?

Is the outside of the buildings more or less important than the inside?

Are you looking at just the campus or also the region around campus?

If you want proximity to a city, St. Joes, Swarthmore, Haverford are all worth a look.
Ithaca has fantastic hiking areas.

Hi Longhaul. I would prefer a medium to large sized campus. I would prefer a school that has an acceptance rate of 60% max. My grades are pretty good so I think I could get into most schools, but Lehigh is a bit of a reach. I live in Delaware and I know UD has a decent looking campus and Im more than confident I can get into there. I would say that the inside and outside of buildings are equally important. Im mostly looking at the campus but obviously I would want it to be in a decent area. Not really looking for an urban type school such as Drexel or Temple. Thanks for any help

I haven’t heard anyone say good things about UMBC’s campus. It is a commuter school.

I think James Madison University is a beautiful campus and it fits your criteria. The prettiest campus I have ever seen in my years of touring campuses with my kids is University of Richmond, but it may be an academic reach for you.

If you want a campus that is pretty look for campus in pretty areas like near the beach!

St. Mary’s College of Maryland is the prettiest Maryland public school in my opinion. It’s right on the Chesapeake. Only 34% of students love on campus at UMD Baltimore County.
