Nicest Dorms

Hi,

So I’ve just enrolled and I’m in the process of filling out the housing form.
I wanted to know the opinion of some mawrters as to what the prettiest dorms on campus are located at.
I’ve heard some rooms have fireplaces and are a bit larger.
I really wanted the experience to live in these older, more traditional buildings.
Also, do you think it’s worth writing on the form where I’d like to live? For those of you who have done that before, did you actually get what you wanted?

Thank you in advance!!!

I asked to be placed in Radnor and I was. I don’t recommend requesting a dorm unless you’re absolutely certain/knowledgeable about it. I had friends who lived in the dorm and knew it would be a good fit for me. Due to the Haffner renovations, the only non-traditional dorm available is Erdman. Each dorm has a specific personality but you’ll be able to make friends wherever you live. Every room is different-- some have fireplaces, some have skylights, some have windowseats. It all depends! I would focus on expressing what type of environment you’d like to live in (social versus studious) and what qualities are important in a roommate (independent or outgoing). Good luck!
