night class

a lot of the seminars i'm interested in are held only at night, usually around 7:30 and lasting sometimes until 10:20. has anyone taken class this late? do you find yourself tired easily?

or does it interfere with a lot of your ec obligations?
or even class reviews (some of the math classes have review sessions listed-- are these even necessary?)

thanks! i tend to be more of a morning person, too, but i really like these classes!

My situation was similar to yours in that I really wanted to take a class, but it was only offered at night. I took it, and I'm glad I did. It didn't interfere with my EC's, but some groups do meet on weeknights. Trust me, having a night class is not going to keep you up later than usual. Your sleeping habits will likely change when you get to college. Most students are up past midnight every night.

thanks :) now i just hope I get into the seminars!

I've had a few night classes...it really depends. Since they are seminars, it's usually necessary to have all of your reading/writing assignments completed before class meets, and if you already have a lot of class during the day, it can feel really hard to stay caught up. Also, it's a bummer in the winter. Especially if your class is far from where you live. And you miss late meal. =( Like I said, it really depends. Like I once took a painting class that met at night and I thought it was totally worth it and completely relaxing...but then I had a night psych lab last semester and it was a total drag.

unfortunately, the night class i wanted isn't offered the semester i was assigned to :( but thanks for the advice..it'll come in handy for night labs/other classes
