I’m graduating this spring and I just found out about this program and holy crap, I’m so worried that PIs have already filled out their positions. @-) I’m 98.9% complete with my app except for my references.

I emailed many many many investigators. most just ignored me, many had already taken interns so forth. I had almost given up hope after 3-4 weeks of emailing until last week i got an offer to interview. Interviews are more of a formality, and i was later offered the full intern position. If I had tried emailing back in november, getting an offer shouldnt have been so hard, but im just thankful i got one even as a HS student. Good luck to all of you!
I wish I had found out about this earlier!! I’m almost done with my cover letter, I’m worried it might be too late to get a spot though. Ah well, at least getting my info in the database.
Oh wow I also wish I’d known earlier… submitting today… quick note, do I need to mention grades from last semester in my coursework listing?
@literatechild - You probably should. If you are accepted, you’ll need to provide an official transcript anyway.

Really not the best time to be bombarding PI’s right now… I’ve only recently had the time to start drafting these emails and am regretting how late I seem to be. Hopefully persistence pays off.

so go for it!
