<p>Middlebury is famous for its strong foreign language department, definitely consider them.</p>
<p>And Middlebury is hundreds of miles away in a different state.</p>

<p>Rutgers New Brunswick does not have a generic “foreign language” department. It has a Department of French, Department of Italian, etc. Of all the colleges you list, Rutgers (New Brunswick campus) has the best academic resources and depth/breadth of language programs. The others are not really comparable to it. Montclair State would be second.</p>
<p>I would like to major in French, sorry for not specifying from the get go! :)</p>
