NJ Gov School

Hey guys,

So today I was nominated to be the applicant for the NJ Governor's School of Engineering and Technology. I am very excited and am thankful for the opportunity but I have a question. I got nominated to Engineering, but I don't really have that much of an interest in engineering. I want to eventually become a doctor and probably would have enjoyed the School of Sciences more. I will most likely try to join a project involving medicine/biology(assuming I got in), but would it look weird if on my application I had engineering school while I will be doing pre med with a major such as chem or something?

I really would like to go, but I feel like it may send colleges the wrong message. Any help is appreciated.

Why don’t you tell your nominator that you are actually more interested in the sciences and have him/her recommend you for the sciences instead?
